What are dental implants?
They are permanent replacements for missing teeth. Dental implants are artificial tooth roots. An Implant Abutment is created to place on top of the implant and a porcelain crown is placed on that.
How are the implants installed?
The implants are inserted into your jawbone under your gums. Implant dentistry is considered minor surgery - but don't worry, with over 24 years of experience, you're in good hands with Dr. Worthington.
Will installing the implants be painful?
No. During the procedure you will be given local anesthesia. There will probably be some minor soreness during recovery, but it won't last very long.
What does the end result look like?
The porcelain crown is created just for you, in a dental lab. It is custom-tailored to blend in alongside your existing teeth. Unlike a denture, a porcelain crown is non-removable.
How long do the implants last?
With proper brushing and flossing, your implants could last a lifetime.
Patients from around the world and in the cities of Fairfield, Weston, and Westport, Connecticut, choose Dr. Worthington for their dental implant procedures.
