What are porcelain crowns?
Teeth crowns are custom-made ceramic prosthetics which completely cover a damaged tooth. They are also known as "caps."
What sort of tooth damage do crowns repair?
Wear, tear, discoloration, chips, cracks and anything similar. Crowns completely cover the outer surface of a damaged tooth, and are often used in complete extreme makeovers.
How are crowns placed?
First, your damaged tooth is carefully prepared, in a pain-free procedure. A mold of your tooth is then taken; the mold is sent to a dental lab and a crown is custom-created in the appropriate size, shape and color. The crown is attached atop your existing tooth with the use of dental adhesive and curing light.
What do crowns look like?
They look and feel just like natural teeth. Porcelain is a ceramic material very similar in texture to real teeth, and the teeth crowns are custom-colored to blend in with the rest of your smile.
How long does it take to apply the crowns?
Typically, two appointments about 2 weeks apart.
How much do crowns cost?
This depends upon your individual needs. For more information, please visit our Financing page.
