What are veneers?
Porcelain veneers are a state-of-the-art technology used to change the shape, color or size of one’s teeth to truly give you the smile you’ve always wanted. Imagine porcelain veneers as a thin layer of porcelain about the thickness of an eggshell. The porcelain can be baked in any color, so they’ll match the appearance of your natural tooth color or give you a whole new look.
What types of problems do they fix?
Veneers fix most visible dental problems, such as cracks, chips, gaps, discoloration and more.
Who is a candidate for veneers?
Anyone who has overall good dental health yet also a damaged smile is a good candidate for veneers. Candidates must not be missing any teeth. (If you are missing teeth, click here to read about dental implants.)
How are veneers applied?
Veneers are made from a mold of your mouth, ensuring a custom fit. They are also colored to match your existing teeth or create a new look altogether. Porcelain veneers are applied to the front surface of each damaged tooth, and attached with a special bonding agent.
Do veneers require special care?
They require no additional care beyond regular brushing, flossing and regular visits to your dental hygienist.
How much do they cost?
Prices vary based on the type and number of porcelain veneers required. See our Financing page for more information.
